Human Resources Generalist Job in Chatham, NJ
Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support their growing team. .
As a Human Resources Generalist, your job responsibilities will include:

  • Provide guidance to functional and site leads with regards to human resources matters, as well as partner with them to execute policies/procedures
  • Administer various human resources functions and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Carry out all required tasks relating to employee recruitment/onboarding (posting job descriptions, diversifying recruitment strategies, conducting onboarding for new hires)
  • Performance Management: Manage performance appraisal system for assigned employee groups. Counsel managers in identifying performance issues and implementing solutions.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer routine increases and advise management on all other increases. Identify and make recommendations on salary ranges, with a focus on remaining competitive in the market. Administer benefits as necessary, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Review employee/labor relations issues and ensure accurate, timely feedback occurs. Escalate issues to appropriate management team as needed. Conduct investigations as needed.
  • Manage the execution of programs, processes and tools designed to build leadership and management skills
  • Bachelor s degree and at least 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience within manufacturing is required
  • Strong employee relations and investigations experience is required
  • HR Certification (e. g., PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP) is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in various human resources functions talent development, performance management, recruitment, benefits and compensation programs, as well as other human resource programs
  • Knowledge of HR laws and compliance expectations
  • A strong customer service focus, exceptional listening skills, ability to learn and communicate broad HR knowledge while working in a service delivery environment, ability to follow established policy and procedures, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency/timeliness.
  • Able to exercise effective confidentiality, independent judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Proficient in MS Office and technically savvy

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
